With a focus on the Ontario energy sector SDS has active customer relationships with most of the local distribution companies in Ontario (including 4 of the 6 members of the Coalition of Large Distributors). Savage Data Systems has ongoing relationships with many LDCs (Local Distribution Companies) and Retailers. SDS provides custom and packaged solutions to the electricity, and natural gas sectors. We have been a provider of settlement services since market opening in 2000. Our Hub solution came to market in 2002 and in fact was the first "Certified" hub in the Ontario Market. Our Hub hosts a stable mix of both LDCs and Retailers. Our reliability is consistently in excess of 99%
We also provide "Hosted Point Services" to the natural gas market in Ontario. Our GDAR solutions are used by a significant number of Market Participants.
Development started on our Smart Meter ODS solutions in 2004, with the first version of the Smart Assistant ODS product delivered in 2007. This was followed by large scale deployment of the product commencing in the spring of 2009. We now service 33 LDCs across Ontario with our Smart Meter Solutions (SMS): MDM, ODS and OMS. Our average MDM/ODS customer services 44,000 consumers, and our largest utility client represents a customer base of 340,000 residential customers. Fully 1/3 of the meters in Ontario are processed by SDS. These products (Settlement, EBT, GDAR and SMS) have now become the focus of our company producing the vast majority of our revenue.
