Smart Assistant

Smart Assistant is a new product. It was first deployed in a production environment in May of 2008. It is designed to assist users of Smart Meters deal with the large volume of data produced.

When first deploying Smart Meters Local Distribution Companies will find Smart Assistant a valuable tool to identify and correct AMCC issues . Smart Assistant can also simulate the VEE and Reporting processes used by the provincial MDMR which makes it easier to develop and test system procedures that are required.

After an LDC connects to the MDMR, Smart Assistant acts as a report database and Operational Data Store. This allows the users to easily deal with the large number of reports generated and allows for intelligent drill down capabilities.
